Building Updates
June 2024 – Building Campaign—Phase 2
We have now kicked off Phase 2 of our Building Campaign. The purpose of Phase 1 was to get the building built (check!). The purpose of Phase 2 is to pay down the mortgage debt quickly so we can save many tens of thousands of dollars in operating costs and interest every year for many years to come. As long as we have a high-balance mortgage, it means (1) we are limited in our ability to hire the staff we need to do more and better ministry in our city; and (2) we would be paying a lot of interest to the bank—money that could otherwise be reinvested back into the church’s ministries.
This pledge runs for one year only (July 2024 through May 2025).
