Questions and Answers
What do I do with my kids when I come on Sunday?
When you arrive, you’ll find our kids check-in desk on the left side of our foyer. Register your children there with the help of our staff. Kids from 0-K can be dropped off in their respective classes immediately in our nursery wing; 1st through 5th grade kids who are checked in can stay with you for service until they are dismissed to children’s worship.
Do you perform background checks for teachers/volunteers?
Yes. All of our children’s ministry workers have undergone background checks and have been trained by our team.
How will I know my kid is okay during service?
When you check in, we will register them with your phone number. During service, if your child is having a difficult time, our team will text you or come and get you directly.
What are the safety policies & procedures you have in place?
Our volunteers are background checked and trained. At least two volunteers are scheduled in every room each week. Every room has a walkie-talkie and is able to contact extra staff for more help, and our security team. Only an adult with a child’s pick-up tag will be able to pick up a child after service.
What is your snack policy?
If your child has allergies, please alert the front desk staff as well as the teacher in the room with your child’s specific needs. We typically provide a small snack such as Cheerios (0-2), animal crackers, Goldfish, or pretzels (2-K).
What curriculum do you use?
Kids in nursery and up to 3rd grade use curriculum tailored by the Gospel Project to meet children at age-appropriate developmental milestones that make learning the Gospel fun and interactive while teaching a solid Biblical foundation to build on as they learn and grow. Our 4th-5th graders use a curriculum called “Marvel” from Dwell Curriculum. Every week they marvel at who God is through hands-on activities that help them apply the truth of the Gospel to their lives.
